LA homework will be different for each student.  Students are working at their own pace in LA thus the homework is determined by the student's progress in class.  I have given each student a blue Assignment/Homework sheet to be kept in the binder.  I have the students fill this out at the end of each LA class.  I tell them to put HW in the blank if the assignment needs to be completed for homework that night.  Please ask your child to see this.

News will be the same for all students.  Wordly Wise lessons will be the same but will depend on the student as to how far he/she gets each day.  Research for WWII is being monitored and done in class.  A few students have asked if they can do some at home and that is fine but not required.  The book project for biographies is due Jan. 24.  Battle of the Books students will replace the project with EBoB books and so summaries.  There are 3 different groups in the class reading different novels based during WWII.  Their assignments will depend on what is completed in class.  Reading is encouraged to be done at home if the student is behind in the reading.

 Students in my LA class who are on the EBoB Team will not do the Book Projects each month.  Those students have 18 books they need to read.  After reading each book, they need to write a summary that will help them remember the book.  Students need to memorize the Title and author of each book they have read.  Students will be quizzed weekly.  Students can go to bookadventure.com to take quizzes on their own if they want.

 See the file below that gives directions and due date for the year long book project.  Your child should have brought a copy home for you to sign.  It will be kept in the student's binder.

 We need boxes of tissues.  For our ticket store, we need items such as individually wrapped candy, post it notes, notebook paper, pens of various colors, erasers, and other small school supplies, dollar store type games and books.

 Memorize your multiplication facts.  There are games under "class links" that will help you practice.
